#DidYouKnow: Sadie Delany was an educator and civil rights pioneer. She was the first Black person permitted to teach domestic science in New York public high schools, and became well-known after the New York Times published a best-selling oral history of her *and* her sister Bessie's lives and experiences over the past century: "Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years". She passed away in 1999 at the age of 109, six years after the memoir published. Her sister passed away in 1995 at 104 years of age!⠀
