Here’s a question you probably haven’t considered: How is the Bitcoin boom impacting our search for alien life?
Advanced technology is certainly connecting us in new ways, but these connections span way beyond our ability to talk with people from around the globe whenever we want. Today we explore one of the more obscure impacts that cryptocurrency is having on the world; our search for intelligent extraterrestrial life.

At this point, you may be asking yourself, “Why does it matter if Bitcoin is making it harder to find aliens? Neither of those things has an impact on my day-to-day life.” That’s an excellent question, and like so many competitions for limited resources, the broader environmental impact does have a ripple effect on us all.
To give us an up-close look at the ways in cryptocurrency and the exploration of deep space are entwined we turn to one of our favorite YouTube Channels, The Good Stuff.
So, there you have it, a little exploration of a connection most of us would probably overlook!
If anything, this is a fascinating case of the complexities that arise as technologies continue to advance. No innovation or progress will take place in a vacuum, so when progress competes for limited resources, we are forced to wrestle with difficult questions: What do we value? What is better for progress now, or later? Who benefits and who loses?
Answering those can lead to difficult conversations, but they are conversations worth having and civil dialogues that, in the end, lead us to better outcomes.
Outcomes like that last question posed in the video: Could Bitcoin interrupting our search for other life in the universe actually be saving us from them? Hm, now that’s a conversation topic.
Stay beautiful & keep laughing!
