Let’s meet an artist whose work brings to life an art form most of us haven’t taken much time to fully appreciate.
At one point in your life, you’ve probably seen something that’s embroidered. Whether that’s initials on a towel in your bathroom, a craft in your grandmother’s patient hands, or a part of one of the most recent art trends on social media. It’s beautiful, intricate work, and today on Ever Widening Circles (EWC), we’re celebrating the diversity of this craft by appreciating Chloe Giordano, who brings her gorgeous embroideries to life through creating them freehand, in the similar fashion to how she would complete a drawing.
Her “needle paintings” have our editing team in awe.
Let’s take a look at the process of this Oxford artist in this short video from AdamPellinDeeve!
Chloe Giordano is just another example of the wonderful artists we can find around the world who show us the beauty that can come out of doing what you love! She’s made her art her very own. There is a world of possibilities out there, but in order to find what we’re passionate about we need to go out, take as many chances and as many opportunities as we can, and just go for it!
Though it may take you quite some time to be at the same level of mastery as Chloe here, don’t let that discourage you! Embroidery in its basics can be fairly easy to learn! It doesn’t require a lot of money to create, and most find the slow pace and the attention to detail to be stress relieving! Who doesn’t need a little more of that in their life?
Sublime Stitching has some great quick tutorials if you’re interested in checking out this craft, who knows, maybe this could be your next hobby!
Keep yourself open to new possibilities, and happiness will stay nearby!
