Do you have a few songs from your youth that conjure memories as vivid as the day they were made? Turns out this is another wonder of the human brain that might serve us if we can use it more mindfully.

Today on Ever Widening Circles, we share some fascinating stories that prove the man behind the curtain (the Wizard of Oz) might be us!

We might be able to tap into the pathways of our own brains to get us through challenging moments!

Oliver Sacks is a world famous researcher/writer. If you’ve missed his books, I can highly recommend them. He’s funny and entertaining in the way he tells us about ourselves, exploring the current themes in brain science. You can tell by his book titles  – The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Musicophilia – that he’s bringing us knowledge about ourselves to us in an entertaining way.

Stay open, curious and hopeful!
