Have you ever stood in front of an enormous public sculpture, and all you could do was scratch your head in confusion?

Take this next photo, for instance. I don’t get it…and I am an artist! How about you?

Perhaps the piece looked like a random collection of gargantuan kitchen instruments, or maybe you had difficulty even deciding whether the sculpture was still under construction?

I’d like to think that public art could lift us up, connect us, or in some way evoke meaning. Does that piece touch you? Maybe it does. But if it doesn’t, have no fear. We are going to have some fun today.

Good art should evoke a feeling and public art is a great way to bring art to everyone in a meaningful way.

We will share with you some public art pieces that almost anyone can connect with and that’s not because they are common, but rather because of the extraordinary genius of the artists.  Art has been a means of connecting since the cave painting were made 40,000 years ago.

Today’s photo blog brings you a collection of photographs of some amazing sculptures which will surely bring a smile and they will leave you scratching your head because you’ll be wondering how anyone could be clever enough to see these concepts and create them!
